A Confidential Space for the Person Behind the Athlete

Professional athletes operate in an environment where expectations, scrutiny, uncertainty, competition, and personal responsibility can become difficult to carry alone.

Private coaching provides a confidential space where you can step outside of the athlete role and have honest conversations about what is happening beneath the surface.

Support may include:

  • Managing the mental and emotional demands of professional sports
  • Staying grounded during high and low points in your career
  • Handling public visibility and outside opinions
  • Navigating relationships, family responsibilities, and personal boundaries
  • Building confidence without tying your entire identity to performance
  • Responding to injuries, roster changes, trades, contracts, or career uncertainty
  • Creating greater peace and stability outside of competition
  • Preparing for a future beyond sports

The goal is to help you perform at a high level without losing your connection to yourself.

Best for: Current professional athletes seeking private, non-clinical mental health and mindset support.

Build a Meaningful Life After Sports

Leaving professional sports can affect nearly every part of an athlete’s life.

Your daily structure changes. The competition changes. Relationships may change. The attention may shift. Questions about identity, purpose, finances, career direction, and belonging can surface at the same time.

The 360° Pro Athlete Transition program supports former and transitioning professional athletes as they begin building what comes next.

The work may include:

  • Processing the emotional impact of leaving sports
  • Separating personal identity from athletic performance
  • Rebuilding structure and daily direction
  • Clarifying values, interests, and purpose
  • Exploring business, career, creative, or service-oriented goals
  • Adjusting to changes in relationships and family life
  • Creating a personal vision for the next chapter
  • Developing a practical transition plan

Transition does not require you to erase the athlete you have been. It gives you an opportunity to understand how everything you learned, endured, and accomplished can become part of who you are next.

Best for: Professional athletes who are approaching retirement, newly retired, between opportunities, or having difficulty finding direction after sports.

Train Your Ability to Be Present

Your body can be in the game while your mind is replaying a mistake, anticipating what could go wrong, reacting to the crowd, or jumping ahead to the outcome.

Mindfulness coaching helps athletes develop greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, physical signals, and surroundings so they can respond with more intention.

Depending on your needs, sessions may incorporate:

  • Mindfulness practices
  • Meditation
  • Breathwork
  • Visualization
  • Body awareness
  • Grounding exercises
  • Present-moment focus
  • Pre-performance and recovery routines

These practices are taught in a practical way that can fit into training, competition, travel, recovery, and everyday life. You do not need previous meditation experience, and you do not need to become perfectly calm to benefit.

The goal is to help you notice what is happening, regain your focus, and choose your next response.

Best for: Athletes or professionals who overthink, become distracted, carry physical tension, struggle to reset, or want a more intentional connection between mind and body.

A Whole-Athlete Approach

Athletes are often taught how to improve their strength, conditioning, mechanics, strategy, and technical skills. Far less time may be spent helping them understand their internal experiences.

At PurposeSoul® Athletics, mental performance and personal well-being are connected.

We help athletes become more aware of the thoughts they repeat, the emotions they carry, the physical signals they notice, and the patterns that influence their choices. From there, we build strategies that are practical, personal, and realistic for the athlete’s life.

This work is not based on generic motivation or telling athletes to simply become tougher. It is an opportunity to understand yourself, strengthen your skills, and develop a healthier relationship with competition, success, setbacks, and personal growth.

Not Sure Which Program is Right for You?

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

During a complimentary Reset Strategy Call, you can share what is happening, ask questions, and learn which form of support may fit your current needs.

Athletes, parents, coaches, team leaders, and organizational representatives are welcome to schedule a conversation.

Misty Buck was invited to speak to student-athlete leaders from St. Thomas Aquinas High School’s football team. You're Human; Not A Robot

Four of the most common areas that our programs address are:

Identity

Many athletes struggle with their identity outside of sports. Who are you if you're no longer an athlete? What purpose or calling do you have now? We will work with you to help you in your next steps after sports. Get to know yourself so that you don't get lost.

Negative Thought Habits

Negative thought habits and poor self-talk can take you out of your game. If you want to perform at your best and be your best in all areas of your life, you have to do the inner work including optimizing your mindset.

Stress Management

Challenges in life are inevitable. Learn how to overcome worrying thoughts and stress so you can enjoy peace, clarity, and focus. Get a better understanding of the things that push your buttons so that you can build a plan of reliency to navigate difficulties and challenges.

Emotional Resilency

Give yourself permission to acknowledge and share your feelings. You're human, not a robot which means that emotions are unavoidable. You don't have to suffer and you don't have to ignore your feelings. When you learn to manage your emotions, you will have the ability to enjoy transformational clarity and deal with problems before they become major issues.
