50 Elite Athlete Affirmations

As an elite athlete, you know the importance of a positive mindset. Mental toughness and mental wellness are an integral part of any athlete’s game. It’s important to have a positive outlook and to maintain a mindset that promotes success. One powerful tool for maintaining a positive mindset is the use of affirmations. Affirmations are short statements that are designed to help you focus on your goals and cultivate a positive attitude.

How to Use Affirmations

The two keys to successfully using affirmations are repetition and belief. It’s not enough to say a positive statement every now and then. You need to say them often so that you can create new positive mindset habits.

Here are some ways that you can incorporate affirmations into your routine:

  • Say or write your affirmations every morning when you first wake up and as the last thing you do before you go to sleep. This helps your brain retain the information.
  • Write your statement down by hand 50 times a day.
  • Listen to recordings of affirmations. Either record your own or look up affirmation tracks on your favorite music streaming service.
  • Do a mantra meditation. Say your affirmation every time you inhale and exhale.
  • Repeat them during warm-ups, training, or breaks. Incorporate your affirmations into your physical training and performance.
